I’m excited to announce the release of a newly expanded edition of my art book:
The Void: The Art of R.L. Black – Version 1.5.

This revised version builds upon the original release with additional illustrations, expanded content, and new behind-the-scenes material that explores the creative process behind many of my pieces.

For those unfamiliar with the book, The Void is a curated collection of artwork spanning my work in dark fantasy, science fiction, horror, and surreal illustration. The pieces included in the book represent years of exploration into strange worlds, unsettling creatures, and the darker edges of imagination.

What’s New in Version 1.5

The new edition expands the original book with:

  • Additional full-page illustrations

  • New artwork not included in the original release

  • Process material and development work

  • Expanded insight into how certain pieces evolved

The goal with this version was not just to reprint the original book, but to deepen the experience for readers and collectors by showing more of the creative journey behind the finished images.
